Burkina Faso, the former Upper Volta, is a landlocked country in West Africa and borders Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The people of Burkina Faso are famous for being friendly – and the name of their capital,Ouagadougou, means “You are welcome here at home with us”.
