The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe that borders Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. The country has had an eventful history as, from time immemorial, Czechs, Germans, Jews, Slovaks, Italian stonemasons, French tradesmen and deserters from Napoleon’s army have all lived and worked there.
