Kenya is in East Africa, on the equator and on the edge of the Indian Ocean. It borders Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda and shares with the last two of these the world’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Victoria. Kenya is famous for its wildlife – including elephant, lion, cheetah and crocodile. The oldest known human footprints dating from 1.5 million years ago were found in Kenya. kenya
