Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country of great natural beauty and proud nomadic traditions. Landlocked and mountainous, it borders Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China. The Kyrgyz are descendants of tribes from the Tuvan region of Russia, who migrated in the 13th century. The country offers excellent opportunities for cycling, winter sports and riding.
