Lithuania has a Baltic Sea coastline and shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and Russia (Kaliningrad). Lithuania has more than 800 years of statehood tradition and its name was first mentioned a thousand years ago. In the Middle Ages Lithuania was the largest state in the entire continent of Europe. Nowadays, it is the only country in the world which has a national perfume – the ‘Scent of Lithuania’.
