Morocco is a North African country with coastlines on the North Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It borders Western Sahara, Algeria and the Spanish North African territories of Ceuta and Melilla, and it is just across the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain. Morocco amazes with all the colors, smells and sounds of Islamic Africa – bustling souqs, stunning mosques, white-washed seaside towns and medieval city centres. Wheat and barley feature prominently in the Moroccan cuisine and couscous is the national dish.
