Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in Southern Africa that borders Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Mozambique. The mighty Zambezi river flows through Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls are formed where the river plunges over 100 metres. The spray from Victoria Falls clouds a huge area of surrounding forest and is known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya or “Smoke that Thunders”. In 2006 an earthquake sent millions of diamonds to the surface from deep underground and the huge Marange diamond field was created. zimbabwe
